Open Question: Which city (near Cupertino, CA) is the cheapest/nicest?

Hi! I was offered a job by Apple and am now looking for a place to live! I live in Texas so I have a really nice, spacious house for about $1300/month. I know I won't find the same but I'm looking for something with a modern, spacious-ish look for the least amount of rent as possible. The most important thing is closet and counter space really but I have no idea where to start. I'm also looking for places with good schools but it looks like most in the area are really great schools. I am looking at some of the cities below: William Faria Elementary School Saratoga Campbell Burbank Sunnyvale Santa Clara San Jose Also, any suggestions on Elementary Schools in the area are welcome and greatly appreciated!!!
